All of our courses are delivered in Portuguese and English (with translation into Portuguese). Also some anatomical words are translated into Spanish for Spanish speaking students. All the Course Notebooks are in Portuguese.

DR. ADRIANA ALMEIDA PEES
She has a Ph.D. in Arts from the University of Campinas - UNICAMP.
A Body-Mind Centering® certified Teacher, practitioner and somatic movement educator of the School for Body-Mind Centering® in Amherst, Massachusetts and Berkeley, California.
She has an expertise in "Infant developmental movement education," by the School for Body-Mind Centering® in Amherst, Mass., is a Registered Movement Therapist and Movement Educator at the International Somatic Movement Education and Therapy Association - ISMETA.
She is currently a co-director of the Brazilian Program of the Method Body-Mind Centering®. She has Master Trainer in the GYROTONIC® method (2009) and has the following degrees:
- Bachelor of Psychology from the Universidade Paulista - UNIP.
- Cranio-Sacral Therapy, Balance by the Institut in Hannover - Germany.
- Touch for Health I, II and III and Brain Gym I, at the Berlin Institute of Kinesiology.
- By GYROTONIC® Europe, she specialized in Jumping Stretching Board®, Ladder® and Gyrotoner®.
She is about to become a Master Trainer in Gyrokinesis®.
She is currently a guest teacher for BMC, Gyrotonic® and Gyrokinesis® in Europe and Brazil in: Tanzquartier Wien, Impulstanz Festival Vienna, Konservatorium Wien and other Artistic Institutions.
In Brazil she worked as a dancer, choreographer and teacher in several dance companies as the "Balé da Cidade de São Paulo" as a dancer at the Opera Paulista (1991-1993); in Ballet Stagium (1986 to 1988) and the "Cia Cisne Negro" as a teacher (2004), as well as free dancer on the scene(1989-1990).
From 1993 she worked for 10 years in Germany as a solist in dance-theater and as a choreographer in: Bremer Theater, Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz Berlin, Berliner Ensemble, Burgtheater Wien, Staatstheater Hannover, with their directors: Johann Kresnik, Frank Castor, Christoph Marthaler, Christoph Schlingensief, Martin Wuttke, Klaus Emmerich, Stefan Otten, Christina Paulhofer Nicolas Stemann and others.
Since 1994 she has been teaching actors, dancers and actors with bodily or mental disabilities, both in Germany and Brazil.
In 2005 and 2006 in Brazil she coached movement to the Cia Paideia Theatre.
From 1999 to 2006 she studied at The School for Body-Mind Centering® (SBMC) with Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen.
Since 2000 she is a founder in Germany and 2003 in Brazil, "Body & Mind Studio For Movement" and "Studio GYROTONIC São Paulo", which has given individual assistance and offered courses, lectures and trainings in Somatic Education Movement , GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS®.
Jens Johannsen, 1959, is a dancer and movement-teacher and -therapist from Germany. Since 1978 he has been exploring the relations of body and mind on personal, social and global levels. For many years he studied with teachers in the fields of theatre, dance, voice, ritual, humanistic and Buddhist psychology, yoga, meditation, body-therapy and others. Among his teachers are Matt Mitler, Grotowsy-Laboratorium, Carl Rogers, Tim Buckley, Martha Moore, Patricia Bardi, Aja Addy, Lama Chime Rinpoche, Upledger Institute, Suprapto Suryodharmo, Amos Hetz, Ron Kurtz and Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen. Jens has Performance-experience since 1980 and has been teaching internationally since 1982. Jens is a senior BMC® Teacher, teaching in the trainings of the School for Body-Mind Centering® since 1993. He directed the last European training at Chiemsee, Germany. For 15 years Jens has been leading his own BMC® training groups that run from one to several years. He works with clients of all ages. He is interested especially in meditation in and through movement and has also been co-developing an application-program of BMC® to alpine skiing. Jens in his work integrates detailed knowledge about the physical body and the process of embodiment with humor, joy of movement and expression with a spiritually open approach.
