Moveus was founded by Jens Johannsen, Friederike Tröscher and Thomas Greil in April 2007 to host BMC® Certification Programs in Germany. It is conceived as an international and European program to welcome people from all over Europe and the world. The courses are taught in English. It is a continuation of the European BMC® Program, which took place on the island “Fraueninsel” in the lake Chiemsee in Southern Germany 2003-2007. The courses take place in Potsdam near Berlin and in Vussem, Mechernich, a small town in the countryside one hour from Cologne.
Currently moveus is offering the following BMC® Certification Programs:
The Somatic Movement Education (SME) Program lays the foundation for exploring the BMC® material. It covers all the body system and the basic developmental material. After the two-year study it continues in the BMC® Practitioner Program, which integrates and deepens the basic BMC® material and also offers some advanced courses. This program is only open to people who finished the first two a year.
The programs are addressed to people who have an interest in exploring the body-mind relationship in a direct, experiential, and embodied way, and who are looking for a comprehensive approach to working with others in a profound and dynamic way using body, mind, movement and touch. We specially invite people who want to become a professional in the field of Somatic Education and Therapy, or who are already working in the fields of Somatics, movement, and/or bodywork and want to enhance your skills with a detailed, grounded, heartful and integrated approach.
The SME and Practitioner Programs are directed by Jens Johannsen and Friederike Tröscher. The BMC® and Yoga Program is directed by Lisa Clark. The faculty includes besides Jens, Friederike and Thomas Certified BMC® Teachers from all over the world, who have a long experience in teaching BMC® and applying BMC® in different fields. Our aim is to offer a variety of teaching styles to provide an education, which can show the multiple application of BMC® and the rich experience coming with that.
